May 27 -- Spider Lake ATV Trails, joint ride with Runestone Off-Road ATV Riders (ROAR), Alexandria club. Meet at 9:30 at main parking area. Bring lunch and beverage. (Ride leaders Scott & Theresa Meyers)

 

June 3 -- National Trails Day -- Club Ride at Round River Trails, Akeley. Meet at 9 am at Stompin’ Grounds parking area, 3 miles north of Akeley on State 64. Ride, play a hand of poker on the trails, and enjoy lunch at the Stompin’ Grounds. (Ride leaders: Dave Halsey, _____ )

 

June 24 -- Club Ride -- Soo Line North Trail, Trailer to Palisade ATV parking area, meet at 9:00 am, ride to Axtel Technical Riding Area in McGregor, and Lawler Loops. (Ride leaders: _________ & _____________)

 

July 4 -- Tuesday - Club rides in Longville parade. Stage @ Salem Church at 10 am.

 

July 8 -- Bigfoot Days, Remer. Join us as we ride in the 1st Annual "Cancer Sucks Wheeler Ride," supporting Cancer Awareness and Itasca Hospice Foundation. Registration starts at 10:30, ATV ride starts at noon, from The Pub in Remer to the Pickled Loon Saloon in Outing, and back. $25/rider includes Tshirt and food after the ride. 

 

July 11 -- Club rides in Hackensack Sweetheart Day Parade

 

July 22 -- Woodtick Wheelers Annual Meeting & Ride. Short meeting starts at 10 am., with elections, followed by a Club Ride to Huddles for lunch. One of our best-attended events!

 

August 1 (Tue) -- National Night Out, Hackensack (Trailer Event, volunteers needed to hand out club info, trail maps and reg books)

 

August 5 -- Club ride, Wilton Trails Northwest. A new trail area for the club. Meet at at 10 am at trailhead parking lot 2 miles northwest of Bemidji on State 2. Trail map with directions on DNR website. Ride leaders: Paul and Kathleen Vashro.

 

August 19 -- Club Ride, Blind Lake Trail. Meet at Swatara parking area on Soo Line North Trail at 10 am. We will ride down the Blind Lake Traill. (Ride leaders: Scott and Theresa Meyers) 

 

August 24 -- Trails Day at Minnesota State Fair. Club members work at the ATV booth in the DNR building for the day. Volunteers get tickets to Fair from DNR, parking reimbursed by club. 

 

September 9 -- Club Ride, stage at Hackensack City Park at 9 am. We'll ride to Foot Hills State Forest trails, south toward Spider Lake. A new area for the club rides. 

 

September 23 -- Hackensack Chainsaw Event (Trailer event, volunteers needed just that Saturday to hand out club info, trail maps and reg books. Always a good event for the club!)

 

September 23 -- Club Ride @ ATVAM Fall Ride & Rally, Moose Lake (Leaders: Scott & Theresa Meyers, meet at 9 am at event.) (More details on ATVAM Fall Ride, schedule of events, hotel and camping info, at atvam.org.)

 

October 7 -- Fall Colors Ride: Orr, MN.

Meet at Myrtle Lake Resort, 9087 Myrtle Lake Rd, 4 mi. east of Orr on  County 23. 

Ride starts at 9 a.m.  Riding on the new, mapped trail system of Voyageur Country ATV club, on Forest Roads in the scenic Superior National Forest. Cabins and RV sites available for Fri/Sat nights at Myrtle Lake Resort:218-757-3700. If full, try Oversons Pelican Lake Resort, or motels in Orr, or other local resorts. Thanks to a Polaris Trails grant, the Woodtick Wheelers were able to purchase a Polaris Sportsman 110 EFI to be used for youth safety training. 

Our club's ATV Safety Education Trailer was purchased with a $10,000 grant from the Polaris TRAILS program. Thousands of people have visited it at community events, where we passed out over 5,000 ATV maps, reg books and safety handouts. Thanks Polaris!
