WOODTICK WHEELERS 2021 SCHEDULE

 

May 1 — Search & Rescue ATV Team - CPR/first aid/AED training,  9am-noon, Deep Portage Learning Center, 2197 Nature Center Dr NW, Hackensack

 

May 8 — Spring Meeting, Membership Drive & Ride. 9 am, short outdoor meeting at the Bear Pause theater parking lot (similar to our annual meeting there last July), followed by a ride to Whipholt Beach for lunch (bring own lunch and beverage). Trailer with club gear for sale. We have re-stocked the inventory, plenty of all items in all sizes. 

(Cash or check please) (No highway cleanup this year, State 200 under construction)

 

May 22 — Club Ride — at ATV Minnesota Ride & Roast - McQuoid's Inn, Isle MN

Registration open at www.atvam.org.  Pancake breakfast 7:30am, guided rides10am. Roast turkey/pork dinner at 5pm. It’s a fun all-day event.

 

June 12 — Club Ride at Round River Drive ATV Trails, Akeley. Always fun, lots of trail variety. Meet at Stompin’ Grounds at 9 am (3 miles north of Akeley on State64), ride to 1 or 2 pm. Option: have lunch at the lodge afterwards.  Ride Leader: Paul Vashro

 

June 26 — ATV Safety Class at the WACC — Registration open, see DNR website for details. Or call Lloyd Solarz (218-682-3775) to register a youth rider age 11-15. 

 

July 10  — Club Ride at Bigfork-to-Balsam Trail Connector - Well maintained, winds through the woods, with a number of boardwalks. Current plan is to park at the south end of the trail north of the Balsam Store. About 1 hr. 45 minute drive from Hackensack, an all-day adventure and something new. Lunch at the Antler Lodge west on the trail. 

 

July 31 — Annual Meeting at The Hub, 9 am, next to the post office in Hackensack, with club ride following, south to Spider Lake Trails and back. More details to come. 

 

August 21 — Club Ride on UPM-Blandin Trail. A club favorite, nice easy ride through the woods. Meet at 9 am at the parking area - 7.5 miles north of Hill City on 169 then east on Smith Dr. See trail map on DNR website. Ride to Hill City for lunch. 

 

September 15 — Grand Opening of the new Emily/Blind Lake Trail. Our club helped build and place puncheon bridge sections. This new connector creates a large 75 mile loop and is highly anticipated. Details to come on the grand opening event.

 

Sept 17-19  — Club ride at ATVMN Fall Ride & Rally, Ely, MN Hosted by Prospector ATV Club. Guided rides Friday and Saturday on local trails. Big Air ATV Show. Saturday evening banquet with raffles and live/silent auctions. Lots of fun. 350 vehicles last year. Registration open and more details on ATVMN website atvam.org. 

 

October 2 — Fall Color Ride on new Emily-Blind Lake Trail - Meet at 9 am at parking area in Emily, right off State 6 next to Sweets-N-Such store.  More details to come.
