25 - Woodtick Wheeler Trail Ambassador Meeting, 10:00 am at the HUB Hackensack, MN.

All club members that are Volunteer Trail Ambassadors are invited to attend.  Any Woodtick Wheeler ATV Club member that is interested in becoming a MNDNR Volunteer Trail Ambassador is welcome to attend and find out how to get involved in the program. 

 

April

29 - Spring Meeting & Pancake Breakfast 9am, The Hub, 213 1st St S, Hackensack. Short team reports, opportunity to renew membership, club gear for sale.  Great deals, high quality gear.

 

May

1-15 - State ATV Trails open. Before you go, check open/closed status on DNR website for trails and state forest roads.

6 - ATV Safety Field Day Class. Visit MN DNR website for information. www.dnr.state.mn.us/events/safety_training.html

13 - Minnesota Fishing Opener

14 - Mother’s Day

20 - Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup 10 am. Meet at Anderson’s South Shore Resort (formerly Huddles), in Whipholt. We need 8-12 volunteers, takes about an hour, with free lunch at Andersons for all volunteers. Hi-vis vests, bags and pickup tools provided. Bring gloves. Prize for best find in the ditch. 3 - Club Ride, Paul Bunyan State Forest, Round River Trail System, Meet in Stompin’ Grounds parking lot for a ride start time of 9:00am, ride for 3.5-4 hours, then end up at the Stompin’ Grounds for lunch on you own.  Ride leader Paul Vashro pavashro@gmail.com.

16 - 17 Moondance Country Music

18 - Father’s Day

24 - Club Ride, Swatara MN. Soo line North parking in Swatara, ride out on the Hill City Quadna Mountain trails.  Back for cookout at Swatara parking area, menu to be discussed later. Then ride on the blind lake trail for as long as the group decides, then back to Swatara.

 

July

4 - Longville Parade. We ride our decorated ATVs, with club trailer, lots of fun, details to come.

8 - Club Ride, Big Fork B to B trail, details to come. Ride leader Chris Emerson  

20 – 22 Moondance Rock Music Weekend

22 – Woodtick Wheelers ATV/OHM Club Annual Meeting.  At the HUB Hackensack MN.  Updates, board member election, details to come.  Ride from Hackensack to Whipholt beach for lunch and return.

 

August

1 - Volunteer opportunity. National Nite Out, Hackensack Community Center, Club ATV Safety Ed trailer there, TAs and members visit with public, pass out maps, reg books, answer questions. Deputies there with display and military RZR.

5 - Club Ride, UPM Blandin Trail, Ride start time 9:00am, Lunch in Hill City on your own. Ride leader Kathleen Vashro, kavleen@aol.com

24 Through Labor Day - Minnesota State Fair -MN DNR Trail Ambassador volunteer opportunity

9 - Club Ride, Schoolcraft Trail.  Ride leader TBD, lunch stop on your own at Backwoods Bar Grill, Start location TBD time 9:00am.

22 - 24 ATV MN State Convention Ride & Rally. Host Clubs: Quad Cities ATV Club, Ranger Snowmobile & ATV Club, Location: Giants Ridge, Biwabik.  More details to come!
