21 — Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup, 10 am. Meet at Anderson’s South Shore Resort (formerly Huddles), in Whipholt. We need 8-12 volunteers, takes about an hour, with free lunch at Andersons for all volunteers. Hi-vis vests, bags and pickup tools provided. Bring gloves. Prize for best find in the ditch. 4— Club Ride on Round River Drive ATV Trail, Akeley. A club favorite. Meet at 9 am at Stompin Grounds Lodge & Campground, 26993 MN-64, 3 miles north of Akeley. Large parking area. Ride till about 1 or 2 pm, have lunch at the Lodge. Ride leader is Paul Vashro: pav10@aol.com, 763-420-8147.
11—Two ATV Safety Classes, Walker Area Community Center, 105 Tower Ave. Youth must pre-register and take DNR on-line course prior to class, details on DNR website. Class #1 - 9am to noon (kids should arrive 15 minutes early to register). Class #2 - 1pm to 4pm. Details and instructor signup sheet for two classes will be sent by Craig Wadzink, team leader: 763-300-0094 cdwadzink@gmail.com. Classes fill up fast, call Craig to register young rider ages 11-15 asap. Parent must also attend class, sign paperwork.
17-18 — Moondance Country Music Weekend. Club’s SAR Team members may assist deputies.

4— Longville parade. We ride our decorated ATVs, with club trailer. Meet at Salem Church parking lot at 10 am. Parade starts at 11 am. Bring candy to toss to the kids.

16— Club Ride on Bigfork to Balsam Connection Trail. Last year we started in Balsam, this year we’ll start at the other end of the trail. Meet at 9 am at the trailhead, a large parking area south of Bigfork on Highway 38, just west on Rajala Mill Road. Lunch at Antler Lodge. 2 — Volunteer opportunity. National Nite Out, Hackensack Community Center, Club ATV Safety Ed trailer there, TAs and members visit with public, pass out maps, reg books, answer questions. Deputies there with display and military RZR.
6— Club ride on UPM Blandin Trail. A very nice, easy trail through forest. Meet at 9 am at trailhead, 8 miles north of Hill City on State 169, east on Smith Drive to parking. Ride to Hill City for lunch. A very popular club ride! Ride leader is Paul Vashro.

27— Club ride on Emily Outing and Emily Blind Lake Trails. Meet at 9 am at parking area in Outing, one block east of State 6 on Cty 58 (Overflow at Halsey’s house). Ride Emily Outing B Trail south to Emily, jump on the new Emily Blind Lake Trail, return on Cty 1 from trail shelter (like last year). Our club helped build the boardwalks on both trails.

16-17 — Club ride at ATV Minnesota State Convention (Ride & Rally) this year in Fifty Lakes, 16 miles east of Pine River on Cty 1. Full details at atvmn.org. Host club: Over The Hills Gang. Friday: pancake breakfast, VIP Ride with DNR and legislators, with lunch at Pickled Loon Saloon, evening ATV MN membership meeting with “Salute to ATV Clubs” video. Saturday: 10 guided rides or ride on your own option. Our club leads the “Woodtick Ride” from Moose River trailhead off State 6 north of Outing to Fifty Lakes, attend ATV Fair, live bands, lunch at food trucks, return to Moose River trailhead (60 mile roundtrip). Those interested can trailer back to Fifty Lakes for afternoon/evening events. Ride leader is Brian Markley, sweeper is Dave Shaw.
Club trailer and Woodrow the Woodtick will be at ATV Fair, visit with riders and sell gear (contact Dave Halsey if interested in helping for a few hours).
Registration required separately for Friday and Saturday rides (25 max vehicles on each Saturday guided ride). Saturday live bands, evening entertainment and fireworks.
Note to all Woodtick Wheelers: Sign up for our club’s ride or any of the 10 guided rides, 5 leave from Fifty Lakes with trail lunch, return to Fifty Lakes for ATV Fair; 5 more start at other trailheads, ride to Fifty Lakes for lunch, return. Rides vary from 25 t0 100 miles. Or choose the ride-on-own option at registration, ride trails you like and attend ATV Fair, food trucks, fireworks, visit vendors and the club trailer.
